Partners

As well as being affiliated with a number of venues (Caveaux) that organise excellent dinners and generally promulgate the art of sabrage, the Confrérie du Sabre d’Or is fortunate enough to have long-standing, close ties to other organisations that organise their own banquets and other social events. We have reciprocal arrangements with these societies, so members are encouraged to learn more about them, and to make contact if they want to attend any events.

Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is an international gastronomic society that traces its roots back to 1248 in France. It is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious culinary organisations, dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the art of fine dining. It brings together passionate food and wine enthusiasts, professional chefs, restaurateurs, and sommeliers from around the globe, to celebrate the pleasures of the table through gourmet experiences and wine tastings, while fostering a deep appreciation for the culinary arts.

Many members of the Confrérie du Sabre d’Or are also members of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, and we regularly organise joint events in order to encourage them to open their bottles of Champagne properly.

The Clink Charity

The Clink Charity is a UK-based organisation with a unique mission to rehabilitate prison leavers by offering training in catering, hospitality, and horticulture. Founded in 2009, it operates a network of public restaurants within prisons, offering inmates the opportunity to gain valuable culinary skills and qualifications while serving the public. By combining vocational training with a focus on rehabilitation, The Clink Charity aims to reduce reoffending rates and provide ex-offenders with a fresh start in the hospitality industry, fostering positive change in their lives and the community.

Vic Laws MBE (The Clink’s Group Restaurant Ambassador and the UK Confrérie’s Maître des Festivités) and Julian White (founder of the Confrérie’s UK & Ireland chapter) oversee sabrage at The Clink’s annual fundraising ball at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London

The Confrérie du Sabre d’Or has been a proud supporter of The Clink Charity for a number of years, and regularly attends their events to help with fundrainsing by providing sabrage instruction.
