Northcote 2023

On Thursday 24th August, our new Ambassador, Justin Rhodes, led a group of members of the Confrérie du Sabre d’Or to Lancashire to visit Northcote, which is nestled in the Ribble Valley, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Northcote, one of our Caveaux, is a luxury hotel where, fortunately for us, Managing Director (and Maître-Sabreur) Craig Bancroft hosts an annual sabrage dinner.

The evening commenced with a glorious sunset Champagne reception, during which almost thirty guests performing Novice Sabrage, and four members being promoted to Chevalier. The dinner that followed was a superb five-course banquet masterfully assembled by Executive Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen, which left nobody in any doubt as to how and why Northcote’s restaurant has been deemed worthy of a Michelin Star since 1996.
