Champagne Away Week

July 19 - July 23

After considerable planning, Gerard and Justin are delighted to announce the plans for this year’s Champagne Tour. As usual, events are priced separately to allow participants to ‘choose their own adventures’—so it doesn’t matter whether you want to come to everything, spend most of your time doing your own thing, or something in between!

The itinerary is as follows:

  • Friday: travel to Reims; dinner amicale at Brugnon cellars (£130)
  • Saturday: Rilly-la-Montagne village open day (£27); dinner at Le Grand Café (separate bills)
  • Sunday: Champagne tasting at Lancelot-Pienne in and G. Tribaut in Hautvillers (£50); lunch and grand cru Champagne tasting at Le Grand Café (£125); dinner and Champagne tasting at Excelsior Restaurant (£145)
  • Monday: Champagne house visits in Pierry and Moussy (£38);  lunch on board the coach (£TBC); dinner at Taittinger private house with prestige Champagne tasting, including Comtes de Champagne (£225)

More detailed information about each event can be found on the booking form. This year, you will need to arrange your own travel to and from Reims, but there will be a local coach to take you to and from all the events. You will also need to book your own accommodation—we recommend the Hotel de la Paix in Reims, as this is where the coach will depart from.
